D&D D&D Blues and Freebird

Well, that was 2 1/2 hours I won’t be getting back.  Danny decided to try to schedule a make up game for the one that we missed because of Thanksgiving, tonight.  Which was all cool.  A bunch of us showed up at various times (cuz he said one time, then another, then another) but it was all to no avail, he was stuck on a work call.  Something all entrepreneurs should love to be.   He couldn’t get off the phone with the guy cuz the guy wanted EVERYTHING.  So, Danny is still on the phone 3 hours later, and we have finally broke up for the night.  It wasn’t all for naught, I now know where around Nashville, TN not to live.

Today, however, was a fairly decent day.  Slept in.  Sat around doing much of nothing, actually thinking of my D&D game quite a bit.  And getting prepared to play tonight, which didn’t happen.   In between these things I tried to nap, to no avail.

In my D&D game, we added a new player.  Bringing the party to 6 people.  He has only ever played on roll20, so this theatre of the mind game is gonna blow his mind.  But he is excited to get to play.  And I let him play a Ranger which I had previously black balled cuz the class was broke.  It was fixed in the October 2018 errata of the Players Handbook, so huzzah, a Ranger he wants to be, a Ranger he is.  A Ranger is going to be sorta needed in the coming sessions, so timing couldn’t be better.

So, the D&D party as of now is a barbarian, a cleric, a bard, a monk, a wizard and a ranger.   A very well balanced party.  You’d think I had something to do with it.  Heh.  Not much actually.  They needed another damage dealer, that is why I added a 6th player and a ranger certainly can fill that order.  I’ve been asked by several people why the warlock switched to wizard, I give the shortest answer possible normal, because he wanted to.  But it gives him more variety in what he does, so I see him changing his mind, it’s all good.

Hopefully we will play on Thursday.  I understand that Danny’s job takes precedent, but keeping people hanging for hours just sucks.  I already ranted about this so I will just shut up now.  Hopefully we will play on Thursday.

Next week Monday is my doctors appointment with Dr. Alkhateeb.  It’s the appointment where I tell him I want the bone marrow biopsy before the end of the year.  Which means I gotta get off tacrolimus.  We are on the right track, confusing, but what we think is right track.  Should come off in plenty of time.

We were supposed to get snow today.  Like 3-6 inches of snow.  We got a light dusting of snow really early this morning.  And that is it.  Further southeast of us got walloped, Osceolla got 16 inches. And I guess the storm is headed toward Chicagoland/the Region.

Hopefully my car will be fixed (well, the tire replaced) tomorrow so Teresa can return the rental car.  Not that we have went anywhere, but it was nice to know it was there for us.
