Made out like a bandit

Ho hum, it’s Christmas or that Silly Holiday as I refer to it.  My wife went above and beyond on gifts this year, beyond the Airpods she gave me a few weeks ago, she bought me an XBOX ONE X.  And we are in discussion about getting the 4k UHD TV needed to use all the functionality of the XBOX ONE X.  I scored on this one, but considering there is a good chance this is my last Silly Holiday, she might have been overcompensating.  I’m not complaining, the Forza Horizon 4 game looks way cool even on our standard TV.  And I listen to music thru my Airpods pretty much every day.  She also got me the previous mentioned Forza Horizon 4 game, and downloading now on the PC is Dark Souls 3 (old game, but supposedly really good).  So I made out like a bandit.

I got Teresa a 32″ Curved Monitor, it’s an AOC brand monitor.  I have never used them before, but the reviews were good and the size was what I was looking for.  Also got her a World of Warcraft Calendar, to which she said she doesn’t use calendars anymore.  I also sorta gave her a Kindle Oasis, which she uses every day.  So I didn’t do too bad for her either.

Oh yeah, there is also coming in 30 days or so, 35″ Curved Monitors.  2 of them.  I got a great deal on them.  List 599 paid 70.  She doesn’t have room on her desk for a 35″ monitor, so I am gonna have two 35″ Curved Monitors on my desk.  Yeah buddy.

I’m really just glad that this Silly Holiday is about over.  I dread the actual holiday every year, all the phony bull that people say and do.  Total jerk year round wishes you a Merry Christmas… my left butt cheek, he don’t care about my Tuesday.  Churches are overfull for this day and Easter.  Heh, all those people going to Hell, thinking 2 days a year are gonna save them.  Oh well, Silly Holiday will be gone for a year.

I found a 6th for my Sunday night Elite Monster Killer Squad game.  He is a young man, good Italian boy from Jersey who is stationed in South Dakota with the Air Force.  His name is Matt.  I am old enough to be his grandfather I think, I don’t want to know for sure.  Anyhow Matt is playing a Barbarian/Fighter which the party needed.  Well they didn’t specifically need a Barbarian/Fighter, but they did need a front line fighter and he is supplying it.  He seems like a nice, respectful young man, I think he’ll fit in just fine.

I’m a little bit behind in making all my specific unique magic items.   I’m afraid some will be ready and some won’t for my Sunday delivery.   I’m lazy is the cause.  I just haven’t taken the time to crank em out on paper.  I got lots of great ideas, just nothing written down.  Maybe I will start writing em out tonight.

I’ve decided I am not gonna play in the Thursday game.  I have no real reason for this decision.  Just don’t feel like playing with this DM.  Nothing personal, it’s just that I agreed to play on Thursdays in Danny’s game, and he flaked on it.  So I am not gonna play anything on Thursdays I guess.  Danny is gonna be bummed.

Teresa is play WoW right now.  I’m getting hungry, maybe just maybe I can convince her to start cooking the Sweet and Sour Pork.   I would go do it, but I rated it difficulty 11 when I tried it the first time.  Yay, she said she is gonna go cook soon.

After the holidays are over, I have to get ahold of Jon and Drew.   Jon I stood up for lunch months ago.  Drew I stood up much more recently.  I doubt either of them are really busy during the holidays, but I prefer not to go out at this time of year.  Just don’t like people in 3D that much.  So, they both will get contacted after the holidays.

So, the only games I am involved in are the ones I DM.  Sunday afternoon (morning), Sunday evening, and Tuesday evening.   Eventually maybe I might add Cori’s game on Wednesday.  I’m good with this schedule.  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off.  I will keep checking reddit/r/lfg maybe pick up a game on one of those days, but I won’t hold my breath.  Chris keeps checking his connections too, maybe he’ll find me something.
