Something about the Thursday night game and DM gave me the heebie jeebies, so I decided to bail on the Thursday night game altogether. Kind of a bummer, wanted to play on Thursday night, but when you get the creeps before the game even starts, it’s time to walk away and that is what I did.
However, I did get into my friend Jason’s game on Friday nights. Circumstances kept me from playing last night, but I am all set for next week. I will be playing a changeling thief, name Alonzo. Oh crap, I haven’t written his backstory yet. Got to do that. Changelings in D&D 5e can take the form of any other humanoid that they have seen before, but it doesn’t change their stats. He can look like a really strong man, but won’t be a really strong man.
I had to cancel the Sunday Night Level 15 Elite Monster Kill Squad game. There are no monsters to kill at that level that aren’t specific to certain places. And how many times would they want to kill a dragon, even if its Ancient? So, after spending hours and hours of research, I gave up. Bummed out my players, but the call had to be made. So as of now I am not playing on Sundays at all. Went from 2 games on Sunday to none. Heh. Actually right now the only game I will be playing is on Friday night, then on the 22nd we will be resuming out Tuesday game.
Ah, the Tuesday game which has been on hiatus forever. Just 1 more week of break and then we will be back. I hope people are still interested in playing it. It’s been a long time. Would start back this coming Tuesday but brother and mother will be here and I have to play gracious host. So Tuesday game waits one more week.
I plan to start another Sunday evening game soon. Just lower the level to something more manageable. Then we can start over like nothing happened. Yeah, that is a plan.
I just applied to a Monday afternoon campaign. Interesting concept. Should be a fun game. And her weird time means she is gonna be short players. Not many can play on Monday afternoon from 1 to 4 central time. And she says the time is concrete. Works for me. Seems like there is nothing weird about it. I hope she responds.
Cori has started (at least I think she has started) working on her game. Got her locked into Wednesday evening. Already have my character made for her game a Gold Dragonborn Paladin, Lawful Good as a Paladin should be. His name is Khanyisa. He has been ready for over a month in anticipation.
I just cleaned out my unused characters on dndbeyond. 7 characters made. 5 characters deleted. Had to be done, wouldn’t be able to find who I was looking for otherwise. I like making characters, especially in dndbeyond, they make it so easy. 15-20 minutes and boom your character is made, and that is if you are taking your time.
Whereas dndbeyond is so use friendly and easy to make a character in, roll20 is the opposite. Roll20s character creation is bulky and awkward and comes with zero instructions. If you are making a level 1 is not too bad, but try making a higher level and its a mess. I actively cringe when people say the game is in roll20. Alonzo took my 18 minutes in dndbeyond and took me over an hour in roll20 and I just realized I am not finished. Bah
OK, something non-gaming. Stupid me forgot that I had a blood test on Friday. Just totally blew it off. Luckily I got to call in before they closed and rescheduled for Monday. I feel like such an idiot, I wasn’t doing anything yesterday. Just sitting here working on gaming stuff that could have waited.
