Good news at Mayo and email overload

16 hour days are for the birds.  Too long.  But finding out that the blood tests from Mercy were anomalous, made my day.  All my blood stats are NORMAL.  Dr. Alkhateeb thinks that my MDS chromosomal problems have been fixed by the stem cells that were donated.   And we might know that as early as next Tuesday or Wednesday instead of 2 to 3 weeks.  WOO HOO.  Yes, color me happy to know that I don’t have to wait till the end of the month.  Color me happy that my bone marrow biopsy results will probably be good.  And color me happy we have a plan.

The plan is to give me more of the donors stem cells (they keep some for cases like this).  A little at a time, over the course of this Spring.  This MIGHT mean no more chemo.  Can hope.

The drive up was uneventful, we made it in 3 1/2 hours.  Got my blood done by the shortest non-dwarf person I have ever met.  She was 4’7″, and cute as a button.  Then got to the biopsy place a little early.  Dilly dally there, so my biopsy happened right on time.  In reality, the process of the biopsy itself takes 15 minutes.  lol.  Teresa brought lunch during recovery time.  Quizno’s Baja Chicken sandwich was to die for.   Anyhow, that made us late for (but we still ended up having to wait) for the pharmacist.  New pharmacist, had to answer all her questions, took a little while.  Then we saw the nurse, who asks 1,000,000 questions and updates the computer.  Then finally saw Dr. Alkhateeb and got the good news about the plan.  Already had checked the app to find out the lab results, so stole his thunder there.

Today I received about 75 emails, many more than I normally get.  I hate dealing with email on my phone, so I am dealing with it while I write this.  The only email I like dealing with on my phone is Publisher’s Clearing House, cuz I love scrolling down on my phone.  It’s fun.

Speaking of Publisher’s Clearing House, DANG did they want me to do lots of PCHSearches today.  Mind you most of these searches are potentially worth a million or more dollars.  So, I did do every last stinking search they asked for.

Well, I am in pain (sat too much today, my back is killing me) and my hip is super achy.  Gonna take a pain pill and chill.  Then head to bed around 10-10:30.
