Those of you who read my blog have been waiting for a long while to hear what my inkling/idea/project/business is. Well, your wait is over. In just a few moments I will be telling you all about it.
What started out as an inkling back over a year ago, has finally grown to the point where I have made it a business.
The business is named TTRPG-ORG (the url is http://www.ttrpg.org). TTRPG-ORG will be place to connect gamers to gamers. But much more than that. It will be a searchable database of gamers and a list of the games they play and/or run. Contacting these people will be as easy as clicking their name on the list. Furthermore, a Bulletin Board system will allow you to list looking for a game, as well as looking for players, for both online games and in person games. You will also have the option of having a firstname.lastname@example.org email address to check or have it forwarded to your main email address, the choice will be yours.
Harassment will not be tolerated, nor with Pay for Play game advertisements. Both of these will get a person banned from http://www.ttrpg.org, without a refund.
So, what I am building is a database and message board to connect players to other players and to games in a friendly environment.
I mentioned refunds. The cost to be listed and use the resources of http://www.ttrpg.org is only $12.00 a year. The price is cheap for all I am offering. A growing database with links to all the games I know about (and I know about a lot of them). A growing database of gamers, what games they play and/or DM. Easy contact of people. Email. Online and in person game information. A place to advertise your podcasts (perhaps even a calendar for them).
This is a work in progress, I hope to have version 1 up within the first couple weeks of April. Some of you have been following my trials and tribulations with the web development class. So, being a realist, I have moved my March 31st date to April 14th. This should give me ample time to get the site up and running.
Please, if you have any comments, suggestions or criticisms, message me them. I look forward to hearing from you.
Also, for my gamer-friends. I have a proposal for you after I get things running. Just giving you a heads up. A way to make a little extra money, so its not a bad proposal.
Thank you for reading this. Jeff email@example.com
