Still feeling better each day. Still coughing but the cough doesn’t nearly sound so nasty. So, maybe I am as well as I am going to get. The cough I have had pretty much for three years and I don’t think it’s going to go away unless we move. It’s caused by asthma and the only way to get rid of asthma is to move, then you get about 10 years of being asthma free and then it comes back. And to get rid of it you have to move again. You only have to move about 10 miles before you’re good according to Dr Scott, the pulmonologist. Since moving is not an option for us, I guess I am just going to have a light cough probably for the rest of my life, or at least as long as I live here.
17 days till Spring. Yay, I think. March is coming in like a lion, a big ass lion. Maybe, just maybe it’ll go out like a lamb. It’d be sweet if on the 17th the weather just changed to average temperatures and it stopped snowing. Ah to dream the impossible dream. Next week it’s supposed to get up to 35 degrees, but it’s supposed to snow. BAH. Go away winter, we don’t want you around anymore.
I weigh 205.4 lbs. I wanted to stay under 200, but I also love to eat foods that make a person put on weight. So, the 200 goal was unrealistic. I’ve decided to not worry about my weight, but that is subject to change on whim and how heavy I get. Yeah, I freaked out the other day when the scale said 208.4 but that was for only one check, next check I was 206.8. Now, like I said I am 205.4 lbs. Gonna keep eating what I want and stay mobile and hope I don’t put on a lot of weight. Heh, last time I got stem cells, I stopped eating and lost a bunch of weight. We shall see if that happens again.
My car goes to the shop tonight for an oil change early in the morning tomorrow. Hopefully it will idle so it can get there. Teresa wanted to get the oil change done in Rochester, but the check oil light came on during my trip back from the Region last week. It didn’t light up at a roundish number so it’s not a mileage triggered thing, it’s from sitting for 100 days and us not getting it an oil change right away.
Teresa shaved my head and beard yesterday, I look like a new man again. Especially with the shaved beard. My beard was looking scraggly, now it looks like I meant to do that. And my head was shaved to a 2, which is when I always get it shaved to, it looks good, it’s really light, and it is so simple to take care of. And I do have to say, that it looks pretty good. If I didn’t have the big bags under my eyes, I would look considerably younger with the head and beard shaved.
My email@example.com email didn’t work for about 36 hours. Most annoying. I had to skip a few pchsearches cuz they expire at midnight. I ended up changing my password like 4 times because I thought I screwed it up, but nope, it was just the email server I happen to be on that is having the problems. Well, I just got my last day and a half of email and took care of what I had to take care of. I hope it continues to work, because I happen to like getting email for the most part. And it is very frustrating when it says you can’t log in when you know your password is correct.
I didn’t work on my website yesterday. I’m probably not going to work on it today either. Tomorrow, I will get busy again. I figure I am going to work Monday thru Friday on getting it programmed. Since it’s gonna be a 7 day a week thing once I get it running. Once I get into the groove, it shouldn’t take long to program it. A bunch of the pages are the same Games A-C, is basically the same as Games X-Z and all them pages between. And the people pages are the same too, just a bit more complex. So, this shouldn’t take long, a lot of cut and paste. I like cut and paste.
We are heading to Mayo on Wednesday. Yet another long time in the car in the middle of the night. We have to leave around 4am. Teresa prefers to leave the morning of the 8am appointments as opposed to the day before. So I spend most of the day dopey drowsy. But I will go to bed (with one of my prized Restoril) around 8pm Tuesday night, so I can get up around 3, so I can be showered and dressed and ready to go around 4. It’s a 3 1/2 hour drive in the summer, probably a 4 hour drive in the winter. The good news is that there hasn’t been any weather on the trip for a few days, so the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Minnesota Department of Transportation have had time to clear the roads as best as they can. So it should be a pleasant enough drive.
