I started today off sick. 100 degree fever, if it would have been 101 I would have been on my way to the hospital. Anyhow, the fever itself bounced around for 100.4 to 99.4 for a few hours before finally going away. We suspect I have been running low grade fevers every evening for the last 6 or so nights. Today was the first day it started in the morning. Right this minute I feel pretty good, which is a strange feeling considering most of the last week I have felt sick at this time of the evening. I’ll take it though, I’d prefer to feel better in the evening.
We didn’t get to play Session #2 of Avaras, my Dungeons and Dragons campaign last night, I was feeling entirely too rotten. I feel bad for cancelling on the players with very little notice, but everyone was more worried about me getting some rest than missing the game. Hopefully next week we will finally get to play again. I was very ready to go last night, but I couldn’t think straight. Oh well, if my sickness switches to the mornings next week should not be a problem, or maybe I am finally over being sick. Hey, that would be amazing.
Tomorrow I have my weekly blood test. Last week I broke the fancy new CBC machine, well I didn’t break it, it broke with my blood in it. Let’s hope the new new one doesn’t break. That would be something though. Anyhow, it’s scheduled for 2pm at MOHA, so far we have managed to stay away from Mayo for the 3 weeks.
Friday night is Jet and Derek’s Gang Gamers Dungeon and Dragons West Marches thing. Sounds cool on paper, multiple Dungeon Master’s and one core group. I am still concerned with the numbers that they have been able to get to play. But it’s all good, I will show up and give my support. I want to play and look forward to the challenge of DMing a group that has been under some other DM. Really though, there is only 2 DMs in the game, me and Jet. And there are only about 4 other players. But that makes for a 5 person group which is good. So I hope this works.
Saturday night I am watching the All Elite Wrestling : All Out Pay Per View. This is their first PPV that you actually had to pay for. Regularly it costs $49.99, but Teresa gets PPVs at half cost. So I am getting to watch is for $25.00. Cool cool. I am really looking forward to this show. I have enjoyed their free shows. And I think this show is going to set up their free TV show that starts October 3rd (I believe).
Some things I am probably new going to get to do in what remains in my life. 1. Meet my nieces 2. Get my bucket list meals 3. Go to GenCon 4. Take my wife to Harry Potter World. I am sure there is a lot more, but those are the 4 top of my mind. I really regret #1 and #4. #1 was just a location issue. They are in New York and I am in Iowa. Teresa said I met Rhapsody when she was a toddler, but I don’t remember. And I have sorta met Samantha over Teresa’s ipad Facetime, but that doesn’t count. #4 I had actually planned in 2018, but MDS squashed that. #2 Oy, the easiest of things. I just don’t think it’s going to happen. and finally #3 I had my tickets this year, but my platelets started dropping right before it and instead of GenCon, I got a bone marrow biopsy instead.
