Getting closer

Had yet another in the long line of CBCs.  My platelets are down to 30 (remember they are supposed to between 150-400 and 8 months ago I was at 229).  30 is a bummer, dropped 8 points this week alone, but I ran a low grade fever for a week, that burns through platelets.  So, at the rate I am dropping, I will be getting platelet infusions in a month-month and a half.  That sucks, cuz that means no serious travel (my bucket list food trip for instance).  And it might just put a stop on short travels too (Thanksgivingfest).  Gimme a break, let me have something please.  I can get a CBC anywhere I am in the nation, and get platelets at any hospital.  And this hasn’t even gotten me talking about blood yet.  Hemoglobin is dropping too, but ever so slowly, so it’s not an issue yet.

Tonight is Leukemia and Lymphoma Societies’ Acute Leukemias chat.  I like attending this chat because I have a lot to share, having been thru AML and now MDS.  Sometimes I get too depressed during the chat, but mostly they are being super supportive considering where I am and whats happening in my life.  I appreciate what the LLS does, but I can’t do anything more than attend the chat in support to them.  A couple years ago I walked Light the Night, but now I just don’t have it in me.

Just a short blurb here.  Sony should man-up and give Spiderman back to Marvel (Not for free of course).

Teresa has played a little World of Warcraft Classic.  I thought I had some interest in it, but NAH, lots of memories good and bad.  But nostalgia can only take you so far.  Then memories of all the cool things Blizzard did to Basic WOW and then you remember how pissed you were when they made some changes.   Nope, not for me.  I don’t want to spend a good portion of the rest of my life KNOWING that stuff that pissed me off originally is just around the corner.

Disney+ looks cool.  And you can get it for 4 dollars a month.  Take Teresa’s money PLEASE.

Nausea after eating, my new hobby.  Teresa thinks it is GvHD.  I think I got some bug.  The weird thing on both is that it doesn’t happen every time I eat.  So neither explanation makes a whole lot of sense.

Jennifer (from Mayo) officially took me off hydrocortisone a couple days ago.  That makes me happy.  I am dragging energywise but that could be from dropping hemoglobin, since my cortisol level was fine.  Speaking of dragging, maybe a short nap is in order for this evening, before the LLS Acute chat.

Shorter than normal blog entry.  Can’t think of much else to say that I havent said in several other recent blog posts.  So let me find a video and I will go take a nap.
