Ain’t Dead Yet-Iowa will be a thing

I’m still sore, but not as sore as I was.  I did get up and move quite a bit yesterday regardless of the knee pain.  I paid for it last night, but now I can move around some more.  My knees still don’t like me moving around much, but it’s just something I am going to have to get used to.  Well, I won’t get used to it, but I will be back on my pain meds and living with it.  Getting old sucks, whose bright idea was it to make us get older?  And then who decided that our bodies should slowly start falling apart just because we are getting older?

I’m seriously thinking about having an AIN’T DEAD YET-IOWA party early next May.  I feel I really screwed my Iowa friends by having the AIN’T DEAD YET party last August, in the Region.  So, Teresa didn’t like my first idea.  Nor my second idea.  But she really likes the idea of having a sit down dinner somewhere nicesish.  I’m agreeable to that if she helps me come up with WHERE to have it.  We aren’t financially great off, so having my friends buy their own meals works for me.  Just have to find the perfect enough place to hold it.  If any of my readers has an idea, please let me know.

Today I am going to MOHA for a CBC.  That’s it, no other tests.  Just really to check my hemoglobin.  This test today will let me know if I am getting blood of Friday or Tuesday.  I’m actually hoping for Friday cuz I hate feeling sick for the weekend.  Teresa is driving me to MOHA cuz I am in no shape to drive and haven’t been for a few days.  So she took off an hour early from work just to take me for a blood test.

The 2nd CBC of the week, and all the tests that I have with it will happen on Thursday at MOHA.  Thursday is when my hemoglobin level should be questionable.  At a point where Dr. Alkhateeb would give me blood, but Dr. Wehbe would prefer to wait til under 7 before giving blood.  Although he did give me the last blood at 7.6 because Blaine the lab guy went and championed my cause.  I looked like death warmed over and knew it.

The other reason I want my blood Friday morning is so I can play in the Gang Friday Night game.  Don’t have a massive migraine this week, no Dennis DeYoung concert, so it should be a go for playing.  I want to play, I don’t want to think about running a game.  This is the solution to that.

Hoping that my mom gets the house she put the bid on today.  It looks like a really nice house and she said it showed really nicely too.  It’s in Chesterton.  A block or so from the high school, so parking won’t be as convenient for my STILL AINT DEAD YET Party on August 8th.  You may have to walk a block instead of across the street.   Sorry, but sore knees run in my family, and the stairs in the house they were living in were killer.  So, she went and found a flat house without a basement.  Cool on her, I hope she gets it.
