Goodbye September

I was right, Dr. Wehbe wanted me to get blood tomorrow.  So, 8am tomorrow I should be getting a call from his office telling me when to be at the infusion center.  It would have been today, but he and his entire crew were driving back from Pella (1 hour or so drive) and paperwork has to be filled out and it was past 4pm already and and and…  And anyhow, I will be getting blood tomorrow, probably 2 bags.  Which in turn will make me feel a lot better this time since I do not have a screaming headache this time.  Oh for the record my hemoglobin dropped from 8.4 to 7.6 from Thursday to Monday.  Forgot to get my copy of the CBC, that was for personal record.

Saying goodbye to September and Hello to October.   This September has been kind of on the warm side here in the middle of Iowa.  Not how September’s normally are around here.  The weatherman keeps showing us how worse it could have been.  However, looking into the first few days of October, we are expecting 60ish degree weather.  Like a right proper October should be.  And I got to say the dude with the skeleton riding the giant spider on University did a bang up just of getting into the Halloween mood.

I feel about rotten though.  All the laundry list of symptoms that I have listed before are present now.  My friend Pete (who is a CRN-P in FLorida) is concerned about how my heart is holding out with my hemoglobin dropping as fast as it does.  I’m gonna mention that to Dr. Alkhateeb when I see him on Wednesday.  A simple check of the heart would not be too unheard of for a cancer patient.  And a simple ekg would take like nothing to get done.

My mom is probably not getting the house she thought she would.  MOLD is an expensive proposition, even if it’s not black mold.  The owners of the house currently need to spend about 3000 bucks a vent times about 10 vents in order to fix the house (get rid of all the mold).  So, they (my mom and brother) are thinking they won’t find a ranch style house until Juneish.  I’m betting mom will find one on that checks most of the boxes.  I’m bummed for her though, she really liked the house in Chesterton, it really was everything she wanted… except the mold.

I started playing Skyrim again last night.  I decided to go with an Orc wielding a Warhammer.  Needed to be done.  Needed something to occupy my time while at Mayo getting the fluid for the DLI.  So, I am gonna play Skyrim once I start feeling better tomorrow.  Get a bit into the game, get a feel for it again.
