Half of my 2 part bucket list done

Teresa really liked her Birthday gift.  It is a new Mac Keyboard that is really cool looking, she just has to clean her desk now to fit it.  lol.  I got it off her Amazon wish list, one of the items she forgot she put there.  It’s silver metal with white keys and somehow they made it so fingerprints don’t show on the metal.  It’s a real nice keyboard.

Happy Hectic…  for her birthday dinner we had Western Back Cheeseburgers from Hardee’s.  Hardee’s finally got around to adding them to their menu.  Carl’s Jr (the other half of the Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr company) has had them forever.  Anyhow, that takes one item off my bucket list; Del Taco still remains.  The Western Bacon Cheeseburger was like tasting a memory.  It was wonderful.

We got our Anniversary gifts (orange cream gummi bears for me and mint chocolate for her) a week or so ago.  So, we just spent some quality time together for our anniversary and decided to have Western Bacon Cheeseburgers for dinner again.  The second one wasn’t as good as the first as Hardee’s was out of onion rings, so it was just a BBQ bacon burger, still good but not what we wanted.  But out 27th Anniversary was nice anyway.  I hope I am still around for the 28th 29th 30th and more.

I didn’t write Mayo to reschedule my bone marrow biopsy, they called me before I got the chance.   So now on April 10th, I got a phone call and 2 video appoints, and on May 26th I have my bone marrow biopsy, hopefully by then things will calm down.  i was slightly manic the first time they called, and all full of cockiness, figured I could go and not get the Corona Virus.  When the mania went away, I got kind scared.  Plus there was 2 weeks of media coverage and statistics talking about how bad it was getting.  So, I am glad Mayo called to reschedule the physical visit.

51,000+ is my new high score on Civ 4 Warlords (Settler difficulty, Conquest mode).  My 31,000+ Domination high score was demolished.  Teresa says I need to up the difficulty, so I did, and I would have beat the game on Chieftain but I found the harder difficulty much SLOWER, and it wasn’t as much fun.  So, I am gonna stay on Baby difficulty and keep trying to get a higher score.  Maybe someday I will increase the difficulty and figure out how to make it move quicker.  Right now, I am still having fun.  That is what is most important.

I resume chemo starting Monday, no I am not happy about still having to have chemo.  But I will have at least April and May chemo before the bone marrow biopsy on May 26th.  Same chemo that I have been on, still only 3 days every 4 weeks.  Still don’t want to do chemo even though it’s been a walk in the park.  Can’t keep Social Distancing in the chemo room.  Teresa will make me wear my N98 mask.  It’s hot and doesn’t fit quite right making it kinda uncomfortable. Beyond all that, I will go get the chemo without putting up a fuss.

Both Dr. Alkhateeb and Dr. Wehbe have talked to me now about getting a second transplant.  That would mean more chemo and more time up in Rochester.  However, it could mean less chemo in the long run.  Apparently, the first time when I had the super chemo it didn’t kill all of my soldiers and they are tougher than expected.  They initially surrendered to the new rule, only to stage a revolt and cause me all sorts of Hell.  Well, a 2nd transplant should fix that.  I just don’t know when this would happen.  I am guessing around August if it is going to happen.  I’m all for it.

Thank the gods the Mediacom has good insurance.  That Teresa chose the best insurance plan they offered.  If I get a 2nd transplant, that will put me over 1 million dollars paid by the insurance for me since we got the insurance o so many years ago.  That is an impressive number.

I was thinking I was going to get back into Dungeons and Dragons, Cori even invited me to her one or two shot game.  But with my sleep issues, I couldn’t do the first night (I was napping during it) and had a date with my wife the second night.  So, I don’t think I will be getting back into Dungeons and Dragons until my sleep problem is resolved.  Oh well, it was a good thought.

Governor Reynolds still hasn’t made the Stay at Home order.  Any day now she will.  We are only 1 of 5 states without the order.  So, technically we can wonder around Iowa without getting into any trouble or having any problems.  I think she is getting bad info from someone,  it’s not bad here yet, but it’ll get bad and then she will be scrambling.  I say better safe that sorry.  She should put out the order now before it is too late.

it is nice having Teresa working from home.  It is nice having her here during the day.  Sucky reason for her to get to work from home, but I will take it happily to have her to talk to during the day.
