Just having fun

Well, we made it to Wednesday, June 24th, 2020. I googled the date and checked historical events for this day. And I can’t think any of them were worth repeating here. The weather here is Adel is supposed to be nice again, with a high of 82. No rain expected today, check back with me tomorrow.

Last night we played the first session of Feise San Eaglais Dungeons and Dragons campaign. They got the first list and in perfect barbarian faction went to kill all the big things first. We got thru all of them, including their red dragon wyrmling (yes, I did it again), except for a hag. The list had some weird things on it, and that was my whole idea. Sent them out to role play to find these odd items and also to kill some monsters. The killing monsters part went well, so far. Very little role play occurred this week, but next week should be full of it. I think everyone enjoyed it, I know I sure did. Wasn’t sure if it was going to work, not completely sure it did work, but it was fun and that is what matters.

Today I will spend a couple hours writing up lists for Feise. These lists are actually hard to come up with stuff to put on them. Can’t just put a sword, it has to be a left handed sword. So writing these lists is a challenge. It’s going to be 10x the work that Chronicles is. And whereas I have the BBEG for Fesie, I have to figure out how I am gonna work him/her in. My problem, I will figure it out.

Tomorrow nights is Session 3 of the Chronicles of the Lost Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Sessions 1 and 2 were both incredible, so I assume Session 3 will be great too. Rho, the new guy who replaced Craig, seems to fit in well with everyone already. So, he should fit almost seamlessly into the game. They will be going after more of the lost orbs, at least that is what I think they are going to be doing. I thought that was what they were going to be doing last week, but I was wrong. So this week, I figure they have to get back on track. They have 10 more orbs to find, and 10 more levels to get before the big bad evil guy shows up. It is going to be fun.

We finished watching season 2 of The Order on Netflix. They threw some nice plot twists at us, which was cool. But neither of us like what they did with the main storyline girl. Just went from la la la to hateful killer over a dinner. That didn’t compute with either one of us; we didn’t like the complete personality change. But the ending of the season was pretty good, and Netflix better bring it back for another run to tie up all the storylines.

Friday night I am unsure if we are playing or not. I do not know if Cori’s oneish shot is ready or not. And Derek and Jet might not be back in time either. So, Friday night is up in the air as far as I know.

Sunday evening should be one of the last games of Jason’s Dungeons and Dragons Eberron campaign. Two weeks in a row he beat on us kind of hard. Nothing we couldn’t handle, but ouch eh. Seriously, I am having fun and will be sad when this campaign ends.

However, I am very much looking forward to Spelljammer. Which is Jason’s new campaign. I have pretty much settled on a character, but I have been sworn to secrecy about my character idea. We all have. Jason thinks it’ll be better that way. I am on board with whatever Jason wants us to do with this campaign, it’s all good.

Then next Monday I start chemo again. Ho Hum. It may have saved my life again, but that doesn’t mean I have to enjoy it. It’s 2 hours out of 3 days every month until November when we try to come off it and see what happens. I have decided that I am coming off chemo when given the opportunity. Even if I can only be off for a couple months, I’ll be happy.

Now all we need is a vaccine of Covid-19, Fauci says 1st quarter of 2021. Naysayers say there will never be a vaccine. I choose to believe Fauci. I just want life back to normal.
