Mostly Chronicles Session 3 but more

So, its finally Friday. Friday, June 26th, 2020. It has been storming since around 3 this morning and it still raining now. Right now its 73 degrees and supposed to get to 89 today, Yuck. Perfect weather to stay inside and do much of nothing, but I have stuff to do. So, I am gonna do this blog, then take a nap, then maybe take another nap, then get up and start to work on what I have on my schedule to do.

First, however, I will report on Session 3 of Chronicles of the Lost, my Thursday night Dungeons and Dragons campaign. They started off with searching for one of the orbs, which was held be a honest bad who posed 3 riddles to them. If they got 3 out of 5 riddles correct, the bandit not only spared their lives, but also gave him the orb that was under his seat. They got the first 3 riddles correct. Then proceeded to ask questions, which they shouldn’t have, but did. This led to Garret getting offended and Harmony basically magically yelling at everyone it was time to leave. Good thing too, there were 40 thieves waiting outside to shoot them down had they failed or if they hurt the head bandit. Discretion being the better part of valor, they decided to just go home and turn in the orb.

Then they went shopping, much to my surprise. I was NOT remotely prepared for a shopping trip. But I fuddled through and improvised and they got some good items for decent prices. They left their shopping trips happy I think.

Finally, they went after the second orb of the night. Traveling several days along the border between forest and mountains. Big Bill heard the ogres before they saw them. So the party went and hid in the trees. Then they discovered that the magic wand they have was pointing at where the ogres were. So they sent Aelith to scout. There were 4 Ogres and 3 Trolls tending crops. There was also a cave with something big in it. The party then decided to wait till night to attack, but the Ogres and Trolls went inside the cave. Val, the new Ranger was upset that the inside of the cave was lit, ruining his plan. Eventually the party gave up and just attacked. The trolls found the ranger and the rogue hiding by smell. And the rest of the party took on the ogres. It wasn’t an easy fight, but it wasn’t a hard fight either. The party dispatched the ogres and trolls and that is where we had to end for the night. The Annis Hag is first thing next week. Rho, the new guy, said he had fun and will be continuing with us.

The whole evening was a lot of fun. Not as EPIC as the first 2 sessions, but still a lot of fun. The original plan was to have an Annis Hag to come out half way thru the fight but I didn’t want to run an hour over time; as it was we went over by about 15 minutes. Something I rarely do. So they should make short work of the Hag next week. Oh well. I look forward to next week and to them reaching level 6 with the turn in of the next orb. Orb count current 3 of 12.

Today I will work on adventures for next week Chronicles. Got to reread thru their homework to figure out if I can do another side quest from the info they have provided. If not, it will be on to more orbs. Still got 9 more to go. 8 really cuz they will get the one from the Hag. Have to come up with something real cool for next week.

Today I am going to call Dr Eastin’s office and find out when my next appointment is. I know I said I was going to do that yesterday, but with taking 3 naps I totally forgot. Really need to do it though.

Tonight there is no game on the Gang Server. Cori isn’t ready yet. It’s ok though, really. I ran 2 good sessions this week. I’m happy. We’ll play Cori’s oneish shot on July 3rd or 10th depending on the other players schedules. I am looking forward to playing Cori’s one shot, she has put a lot of work into it and I am sure its going to show.

I get bored entirely too easy. And tonight looks to be boring. Gonna have to fire up Skyrim: Special Edition again. Don’t know if I am looking forward to playing again or not. That’s a sad state of mind to be in. Don’t know if I want to play the game, but gonna play the game anyway. Bleh.

Same situation for all day Saturday and Saturday night. Nothing going on. Will probably play Skyrim.

What I do on the weekends however, is I get up early to feed Pucky and Mojo and then I herd them outside to take care of business. I do this every weekend so Teresa can sleep in. I usually go back to sleep after I am done and still wake up before her.

Sunday day is Skyrim bound too.

Sunday evening we should be playing Jason’s Dungeons and Dragons Eberron campaign. One of the last few sessions. Even though I just started in it a month or so ago, I am still gonna be sad about it when it ends. It’s been fun and challenging. I am hoping that his SpellJammer campaign is just as much fun. He is putting a lot of work into it.

Chemo Fatigue is really bad lately. I am taking 2 to 3 naps a day, sleeping and extra 6-7 hours a day. I’m gonna talk to Dr. Wehbe to see if there is anything that can be done. Not that I have anything really to do during the days, but I would like to be conscious a little more often. Actually live life instead of sleeping thru it.

That’s all for today folks, here is some Meat Loaf and Marion Raven to make your morning or whenever you read my blog.
