Last night was impossibly fun

It’s finally Saturday. Woot. A day of much needed rest after the week I had. But first let me welcome you to Saturday, July 11, 2020. A Saturday not unlike many Saturdays before. But maybe a little better as I do have something planned for today, a rarity to say the least. Looking at the weather prediction, it looks like a good day to hang out for tonight it storms. It’s not supposed to break 90 today, so it’s a wonderful day

Last night we finally got to play in Cori’s Oneish shot (which will be 4 or 5 shot). From the beginning she said it didn’t matter what we played, so we had a very unbalanced party. First encounter was 15 Dire Wolves. Yep, 15 Dire Wolves attacked and did quite a bit of damage, until I let loose a 5th level sculpted fireball on top of us and them. The wolves that survived this blast ran away. Encounter Builder called it a Medium difficulty encounter for a balanced party, again I point out we weren’t a balanced party.

The second encounter was also called a Medium difficulty. It consisted of 6 will-o-wisp and 2 banshee. A series of bad rolls on our party had most of our party down and 1 of our party dead. Beyond that these creatures had insane Armor Classes and mad resistances. We collectively got out butts handed to us, but somehow prevailed.

The odd thing is I had fun. Even though both fights were slanted very much against us. We managed to win. Next week 1 of the druid is switching to Paladin, that should make a difference. I am looking forward to next week. Should be more fun.

I slept almost normal last night, yes, I was awake at 4:20am, but I was back asleep before 5:15 and slept right thru the doggies wanting breakfast. I didn’t wake until 7:30am. Naps will be in order for today anyway. Because I really enjoy napping, it makes the day go faster.

Tonight, we are going grocery shopping to HyVee. The significance of this trip is I am going to renew my driver’s license at the kiosk while I am there. We are waiting till it gets darker and cooler so we can take the dogs as well. So, it’s gonna be a whole family trip. This will be my first venture out of the house for non-medical since March.

Tomorrow during the day I am doing much of nothing. More napping for sure.

Hopefully, tomorrow nigh, Jason will feel up to running his Eberrom campaign. We didn’t play last week, we aren’t playing next week. So, I hope we get to play this week, but its not the end of the world if we don’t.

Then Monday is registration for Gen Con Online. I want to register right at 11am (Noon eastern) cuz I really want the games I want. And since they are non-roll20. I figure I can’t be the only one who doesn’t liker Roll20. So register early, get my games and be happy about it, that’s the plan. I have no back up games. If I do not get any of these 7, I am kinda SOL.

Well, Teresa who got up to feed the dogs finally went back to sleep. I think I am going to join her. 26 days till I’m 50 and get to join AARP. Only 5 more chemo runs to go until I get to try life off chemo. Only 19 days till Gen Con Online. Only 6 days till my monthly visit with Kristel, Dr. Wehbe’s nurse. And only about 5 minuets for me to find a video, hang on.

I am 50 year old guy, who beat blood cancer but is getting his butt kicked by bone marrow cancer. At this point it appears I am dying. Married and in love with the most wonderful woman in the world (27 years). She has stood by me thru a lot of crap and I love her so.
