It’s a wet Wednesday July 15, 2020 here is Central Iowa. It has been raining for about 15 hours straight with it finally stopping supposedly around 1pm today. The rain in supposed to keep the temperature down, but the humidity will be up, so its a wash. At least after this rain we shouldn’t hear about droughts on the news anymore for a while at least.
Last night we play Feise San Eaglais, my Tuesday night Dungeons and Dragons campaign. The game last night was the most fun game of the 3 sessions we have had of Feise. And it was the funniest one too. The role playing was hilarious between Cori and everyone else. I can’t do it justice here, but leave it say, that never take love advice from a group of D&D players. You really had to be there to truly appreciate it. So, for 7 of us, we got a lot of really good laughs last night.
Today I am gonna call Dr. Wehbe’s office and find out why phreesia didn’t send me a text reminding me about my appointment, it should have come yesterday at 3pm. I am betting that the new girl who does appointments didn’t commit my appointment for tomorrow and if I don’t call to straighten this out, I will get there and have to wait for a couple extra hours. I am waiting till 10am to call cuz they are always slammed with calls in the morning.
Today is what I normally call a boring Wednesday. However, I have something to do now. I am reading again. Slowly, but I am reading. I am reading Monster Hunter International, recommended to me by Dave B. I started it 2 nights ago and I am about a 1/4 of the way thru it now. But I am hooked on the story and am enjoying myself while I read it. I’ve never been much of a reader, always frustrated at the speed I read. But it feels good to be reading again. After I finish MHI, I got the new Dresden book to read. So I am set for a while.
That is probably all I am doing today. I might (probably will) take a nap or two, but I have nothing of vital importance to do today. So, reading and a phone call and writing this blog entry and catching up on Facebook and napping and eating will be my whole day.
Tomorrow during the afternoon I am supposed to have an appointment to have labs drawn and then see Kristel. But like I said, that might be screwed up.
Tomorrow evening will be Session 4 of Chronicles of the Lost. And it will be the 1st session with Filett. I’m sure he is going to fit in fine. But he is the 4th person in the 6th spot. I hope he sticks around. He is being dropped into a boss battle as his first exposure to the campaign. Kind of a trial by fire. Heh. Hopefully there will be a little roleplay before they head to find orb #5. Cuz #5 is in a dungeon. I don’t want to give the impression that I am all about combat.
Then Friday night is the next installment of Cori’s oneish shot. I went into detail about how session 1 of that went, so I am not gonna rehash it now. Just say I am looking forward to session 2 and hope things are a LITTLE bit easier this time.
Oh, I almost forgot, I have to do loot for Feise, they killed and looted a Deathlock pirate. He should have some decent stuff. That I will also do today.
I still have to contact Mayo about September 23rd. I can’t be in two places at once. I just don’t know who to contact there. I don’t have a direct line to the orthopedic people like I do the transplant team. I guess maybe I will work on that today too.
I guess I do have quite a bit to do today.
